Why I built PiViva

I have worked in business for nearly 30 years, mostly in sales and growth. For the last few of them, I was Chief Growth Officer at Connexin, where we grew revenue by over 750% in a little over four years. In 2024, they came second in GP Bullhound's Northern Tech Awards, which ranks the hundred fastest-growing technology companies in the north of the UK by revenue growth.

Alongside that, I have always been interested in how people change. I got into NLP at 17, taking part in some research into memory, and I have been at it ever since. I am a certified trainer of NLP and NLP coaching, as well as a trainer in hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy®, and I see private clients in Wimbledon.

    What I kept seeing

People know what they should do. They come out of a good course or a good book full of it. Then a few weeks go by, nothing has changed, and they decide the problem is them.

Usually it isn't. They just had nothing to keep them going once the enthusiasm wore off.

So that is what I have tried to build. Exercises you actually work through rather than read about. Someone to talk to at eleven at night when there is nobody else awake. And a real coach when you want one, properly checked.

    The singing

I trained as a singer before any of this and performed classical and jazz around the world. People find that an odd combination. I think the two are fairly close: you are trying to reach someone, and it either works or it doesn't.

    What PiViva is not

PiViva is not therapy. It does not diagnose anything and it is not a replacement for seeing a professional. If you need one, Viv will say so rather than trying to help.

What happens to what you write

What you write is yours. Viv can see it, because otherwise Viv would be no use to you. A coach only sees what you decide to show them, and you can take that back whenever you like.
