Someone to think out loud with, who already knows where you are.
The thought arrives at eleven at night. Or in the car. Or halfway through something else.
By the time there is somebody to tell, it has gone flat, and you have to explain three months of context before you reach the part that mattered.
Viv is PiViva's AI companion, already familiar with the work you have done, so you can start in the middle.
Viv asks before telling
Coaching is led by questions. Viv's first instinct is to ask one, because you usually have the answer already and the job is helping you find it.
Viv uses your own words back to you. Say you feel scattered and Viv will not helpfully upgrade it to fragmented.
Viv keeps it short. A long reply reads as a lecture. A short one reads as a conversation.
What Viv is not
Viv is not a therapist. No diagnosis, no prescription, and no interpreting your psychological state.
Viv is not a guru, and will not moralise at you or turn your question into a lesson.
Viv is not one of those relentlessly upbeat assistants. No manufactured enthusiasm, and no telling you that was a great question.
And Viv does not pretend to be human. Viv can say that sounds hard, and will never claim to know how it feels, because Viv does not.
Viv never writes to your tools for you
Viv can see what you have been working on and can point you back at it.
Viv cannot create, edit or move anything on your behalf. What is in your tools is what you put there.
Choose how Viv appears to you
Vivienne, Vivian, or simply Viv. The name and the face change. The character does not, and you can change your mind whenever you like.
If you tell Viv something serious
Viv does not panic, does not become saccharine, and does not try to handle it alone. Viv acknowledges what you said, is honest that it sits beyond what an AI companion should hold, and points you towards people who can help.
