For coaches: a verified listing, a practice toolkit and no commission on a single session

PiViva gives qualified coaches a verified listing in the PiViva Coach Directory, the full set of coaching tools, Viv for coaches, the Report Room, shared client workbooks and private session notes, and it takes no commission on any session. Your qualification and insurance are checked before you're listed.

Why does so much of a coach's week go on everything except coaching?

If you're a coach, you'll know how much you love the sessions themselves, the moment a client sees something clearly for the first time, or leaves the room with a plan they genuinely believe in, as that's the work you trained for and the reason you do it.

Outside those sessions, though, a surprising amount of the week can disappear into being found, explaining what you do, chasing admin, and asking every new client the same background questions before the real work can begin. Some platforms will help with the first of those, but they want a cut of every session in return.

There's a trust problem for clients, too. Anyone can call themselves a coach, there's no register a client can easily check, and there's no way to tell from a website whether the person behind it has been trained or insured. That makes it harder for good, properly qualified coaches to stand out, and harder for the people who need them to choose with confidence.

What does the evidence say about coaching, and the work between sessions?

Coaching is a large profession, and it works. The International Coaching Federation's 2023 Global Coaching Study estimated that there were around 109,200 coach practitioners worldwide in 2022.

Two meta-analyses support what coaches see every day. In 2014, Tim Theeboom and colleagues found that coaching had positive effects on performance, wellbeing, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation, and in 2016 Rebecca Jones and colleagues found a positive overall effect of workplace coaching.

What happens between sessions matters as well. In therapy, a 2010 meta-analysis by Nikolaos Kazantzis and colleagues found that homework between sessions improved outcomes. Most coaches already know how much difference it makes when clients do the work in between, and the hard part has always been encouraging them to do it and to bring it along.

What's included in the PiViva Coach Package?

You get a verified listing in the PiViva Coach Directory, with a profile that shows your photo, what you work on, where you are, your fees and the Verified mark. Your contact details are shown to signed-in members only, profiles are built to be found in Google, and your editor shows you what gets a profile listed.

You also get shared client workbooks. When a client shares a completed tool, it appears in your coach view, and they choose what to share and can stop at any time. That means clients can arrive having already done some of the groundwork, so your first session can start with the real work.

For your own use you have every coaching tool in PiViva, from the Wheel of Life to WOOP. There's Viv for coaches, which lets you think a session through before you run it, at any hour, working from what your client has chosen to share. There's the Report Room, and there are private session notes that only you can see and that you can export whether or not your subscription is running.

You'll also receive a Listed coach badge and link kit, with four places to put your profile link: your website, LinkedIn, your Google Business Profile and your email signature. There's a referral fee as well, which comes off your renewal for every member who joins through your link and goes on to a paid plan, so the people you bring with you help to cover the cost of your own listing. And there's no commission, ever, and no booking fee, as your clients pay you directly, at your own rate.

    How do you get listed?

Three things need to be true at the same time: your profile has been approved, your subscription is running, and your documents are in date.

You'll need a valid, in-date qualification or membership from an accepted body, along with in-date practitioner insurance. The accepted bodies include the AC, ABNLP, ANLP, APECS, BPS, EMCC, ICF, IAPC&M, INLPTA, NLPEA and UKIHCA, and if yours isn't on the list, you're very welcome to ask at support@piviva.com before you pay for anything.

The steps are simple. You apply for your place and subscribe to the PiViva Coach Package. Then you upload your qualification and insurance, PiViva checks them, and once they're approved you go live with the Verified mark.

PiViva will email you before a document expires, so you have time to send the new one. If one does lapse, your listing is hidden until the new one has been approved, and nothing is deleted in the meantime.

What if you already have clients and other listings?

Then you keep them, and you're very welcome to carry on using other directories as well. The link kit is designed to help you bring your own clients onto PiViva, so that they can do the groundwork between sessions and share it with you when they're ready.

I'm listed on PiViva myself, with exactly the same profile you'll have, and I'd love you to join us, especially while founding places are still open. Coaching that stays with you.
